Today mum & dad were flying back to the UK. It’s always sad to see them go as they, like all of us, are getting older and you never know for sure when you will see them again. It’s aboyt the 5th time we’ve been to the airport in the last couple of months. Jaz was going to drive but didn’t as the car was really loaded & the weather was awful – the rain was really lashing down.
We had a bite ti eat & coffee & saw them off quickly as no-one likes a drawn out goodbye at the airport.
I find that airpirts etc are a great opportunity to stand back and ask yourself what you really want to do – or are you doing what you really want to do?
I have always struggled with being “middle-aged, middle-class and middle-of-the-road”. I always want to rebel and push back or do something extraordinary or something. I have been thinking about thus Bangladesh trip and I think today I want to commit to it.
In the car the radio was playing The Eagles – Take it to the limit. Yes that’s how I feel !
Obviously back at home it felt empty as my parents had been with use for almost 3 months, and its only a small house. We all felt it, but I guess there was a heap of stuff needed ro be done before back at school, work etc tomorrow.
