Given yesterday’s slow start, I’d set the expectation that we would all be up at 9am for leaving at 10am. It pretty much worked, and a bonus was I’d also booked & paid for the bridgeclimb tickets AND sung happy birthday to Chelsea and had the birthday cake that Dawn had made.
We drove to the city and my mum and kids went onto the bridgeclimb whilst me & dad went around the rocks market, had coffee and lunch in the orient hotel. We had both done the climb some years back, and mum was keen to take the kids but at $200++ I was not too fussed about going again.
We picked them up afterwards (3hrs 30mins later) and got some photos of their clumb on a USB stick.
They were all hungry & thirsty so we stopped at the glenmore hotel close by.
At home I mucked around installing photo apps on my phone then went for a run and a swim in the rain – it was great along the cliffs of the coast track and having the besch to myself. I got back just as it got too dark to see.
By the time everyone went to bed, I stayed up a bit to read the paper & Have some quiet time all to myself.
