August 16th 1997 was the day Elvis died. Fat and old before his time – he was only 42 – much younger than I am now and I feel like I am only just getting started! What a huge waste of life.

I heard the news on the radio was I was on holiday in Cornwall, England. It was one of the hottest summers on record and we were going to the beach, not a care in the World, mine and my brother’s lives stretching out before us.

I guess the only lesson I take away from it is to stay young, keep active and don’t be a fat slob and waste your life – like Elvis did ! the sheer potential of that man!
