Not sure why but on friday I was an angry young man. or an angry old codger depending on your age perspective. I have no idea why, but it could be because of work – I still have more than 20 years left before retiring age, or maybe its just because works is all higgledy-piggledy at the moment. then of course I couldn’t be arsed to pay $45 to see sham69 at the afore-mentioned concert. I finished work approx 6pm and didn’t want to hang around till 8pm+ before any action. I would have just gone to bar and end up feeling i was wasting time and money. I was angry about the aura thread on CR. too be honest I was itching an open sore. I have unresolved issues with aura. I love geoff hook and what he and Dot did at aura and I think the current regime (mainly the president) are taking aura in a different direction. the more I post the angrier I get, so I am not going to bother anymore.

In fact I am thinking of not posting as joggerkev much but just use the “coolrunning admin” account for “cr business” and my own private account (sssh…) for my own posts. eagle-eyes will notice that joggerkev is not a root admin anymore – this is now (correctly) “coolrunning admin”.

I went to cronulla on the ferry today and took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda. yeah I liked it.

Then I put my angriness to the best thing possible – I went for a 2hr run. I went approx an hour before it got dark so of course it soon got dark and I was torchless, and it was a tad more than a 2hr run, and of course dark nights in the bush without a torch go slower so I was out approx 3hrs. Even though I swore off dark runs in bushes without torches previously (due to the large number of twisted ankles) I was really up for this – had been planning it all day especially when I saw that was the right time for the low-ish tide – water crossings and sand running. I had a surreal run – very fast, great in the dark – saw the moon rise up over the sea, ran big marley beach in the dark, great fire trails and superb natural lighting (was a full moon yesterday). Lucky I know all the short cuts else I would be totally shitting myself. Dawn was a bit peeved I was out so long, but I was on a high all evening. am about off to bed now – very sore legs.

Am thinking about the cities marathon next week. however I must have a reputation for being the World Biggest Piker so we will have to see..

on the whole ronnie thing – I am so over it, I don’t think I will post to him or about him. i personally believe he is trying to make cr look bad and subtly promote his mates running website (not naming it).

I feel bad that I have not being doing many emails – especially cr ones- I will post more about this later during the week.

Well I’m no ultra guy, but that sounds like life in Bellthorpe! Went for about 20k today. No iPod (don’t have one). No skins (don’t own them). No Garmin (knew where I was). No HRM (that only slows me down). No watch (!! huh … many runners I know can’t do that). On the trails. Plenty of wallabies around. Take it easy guys, CR forums are not real life! Oh, the beer drinking is about to start …
